What is a native plant, and why is growing native plants important?

A plant is considered native if it's found growing naturally in a region, without having been introduced by humans. Native plants provide a crucial food source for native bees, butterflies, other pollinators, and even birds. All of the plants that we sell are found growing naturally in New York State. We have a large selection of native plants, most that will do well in wet areas. We also have a wide variety of native pond plants.  We offer a 15% senior and military discount, as well as a 15% discount for members of Audubon and Nature Centers, for purchases made at the nursery (sorry, the discounts don't apply at off site venues or other promotions.)

We are open at the nursery by appointment.  Give us a call, and plan your visit.  We look forward to meeting you!
