Seeing the bigger picture

When I went out this morning, a Barred Rock owl flew off from a tree next to the house. It made me think how everything in nature is connected. Planting the native flowers and shrubs doesn't just support the insect pollinators in the summer. The plants also produce seeds and berries that provide food for the smaller animals that in turn support the owls and other raptors. By creating a natural habitat with native plants, you'll be supporting wildlife from insects to owls. You'll be creating a healthy ecosystem.
